Experienced Forklift Operator
Full job description
Industrial Athlete – Forklift Operator
The best operators aren’t just drivers — they’re precision athletes. They read a yard the way a point guard reads a floor: anticipating movement, managing weight and space, and making split-second calls that keep everyone around them safe and productive.
At Kripke Metal Processing, our Forklift Operators are central to how the whole operation flows. You’ll stage loads, manage inventory, handle non-uniform materials, and move product on and off trucks in a fast-paced environment. It takes skill, discipline, and consistency. And KMP rewards all three.
What Our Team Members Say
Straight from the people on the floor:
1. “Everyone here cares.” This isn’t a place where you’re just a number.
2. “Promises are kept.” When Kripke says something will happen, it does!
3. “My health, safety, and financial well-being are always a top priority.” We protect our people.
4. “More bonuses, benefits, and incentives than anywhere I’ve ever worked.” We reward performance.
5. “The President of the company invited me to lunch — and I haven’t even been here six months.” Leadership listens. Your input shapes how we operate.
What You Bring to the Floor
This role requires experience. You’ve put in your reps, and it shows.
- 5+ years of forklift operation — you know the machine and you respect it
- Proven, productive driving techniques with safety as the baseline, not the exception
- Hands-on experience loading and unloading non-uniform materials
- A solid understanding of weight distribution and load management
- Experience with manual digital placement and inventory control systems
- Position is Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with some overtime (depending on the workload) during the week and on ½ day on Saturdays.
What You’ll Own
A great operator doesn’t just move material — they own the space they work in.
- Learn and live the KMP culture — the way we do things is what makes us different
- Commit to safety protocols every shift, no shortcuts
- Stage loads and assign material with precision and efficiency
- Execute FIFO inventory control with accuracy and accountability
- Handle non-uniform packages with the care and technique they demand
- Master our processes and bring consistent attention to the details that matter
- Use basic computer skills to work within our inventory and processing system
- Identify opportunities to sharpen our efficiency and speak up about them
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and ready to perform
- Collaborate with the team to hit shared goals — this sport is not played solo
- Take coaching and direction and put it to work immediately
